CHEMICAL INDUSTRY NEWS
It isn't exactly chemical news, but - See the Office Depot site at https://www.officedepot.com/BusinessTools/forms/ for an incredible number of business documents and policies, all in Rich Text Format. We like OD for our office supplies and this is a great free deal on their web site.
SHAMELESS PROMOTIONS DEPARTMENT
Astonishing, shocking and loathsome. Not merely an attack on Americans on US soil but an attack on humanity and the modern economic system. Put in perspective, more than three times the civilians died as a result of the attacks of September 11 than US servicemen died in the attacks on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941.
We reject al-Qaida, if that is who is responsible, and their appropriation of Islam. Islam does not teach murder or suicide. Those responsible are anarchists and evil incarnate, nothing more.
We are without a doubt now in a recession and the Fed has lowered rates to a 40 year low. The markets have fallen off sharply due to worldwide uncertainity after September 11. Closing the markets for one week was necessary because of the nonexistant telecommunications and electrical power in lower Manhattan after the attacks. Opening them sooner would have also been unfair to those firms in the market who lost so much in the WTC collapse. Nonetheless, this trading halt has added to the nervousness of the markets.
Quite simply, there are bargains out there. There are dogs too. But this is how it always is in the stock market. If you have cash seek out the bargains NOW! You will probably never see the DOW below 10,000 again.
Have faith, be strong and God Bless America.
ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Passwords are like underwear:
Don't share them, hide them under your keyboard, or hang them
from your monitor.
Above all, change them frequently.
A new addition to the periodic table of chemical elements
Element Name: MAN
Atomic Weight: 180+
Physical properties: Solid at room temperature but gets bent
out of shape easily. Fairly dense and sometimes flaky.
Difficult to find a pure sample. Due to rust, aging samples
are unable to conduct electricity as easily as young samples.
Chemical properties: Attempts to bond with WO any chance it
can get. Also tends to form strong bonds with itself. Becomes
explosive when mixed with KID (Element: Child) for prolonged
periods of time. Neutralizes by saturating with alcohol.
Usage: None known. Possibly good methane source. Good
specimens are able to produce large quantities on command.
Caution: In the absence of WO, this element rapidly
decomposes and begins to smell.
Funny how a dollar can look so big when you take it to church,
and so small when you take it to the store.
